Albatross have a 3rd kidney. When they leave their nest they fly off the cliff and do not return for several years. As they fly over the ocean they need to drink seawater for fluids. To prevent the salt in the seawater from entering their bodies there is a third kidney at the base (head end) of their beak to filter out the salt before it can enter the blood stream.
This is why albatross always appear to have a cold id their dose. The permanent drip is the salt from the 3rd kidney.
